Former world champion in two categories Briton Ricky Hatton believes that the defeat of Floyd Mayweather in 2013 benefited the Mexican Canelo Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs), making him what he is at the moment – the leader of the pound rating -for-pound.
Ricky is confident that Alvarez won’t lose to anyone else.
“When Canelo fought Mayweather, he didn’t win a round, did he? And I think Mayweather created a monster with that,” Hatton says. – This is an example for young people that if you were beaten, it does not mean that your career is over. A loss like this can make or break someone, and it made Canelo. I think, I foresee that he will end his career undefeated. I mean, he won’t lose to anyone else. I don’t see anyone who could beat him.”
Russian Dmitry Bivol (19-0, 11 KOs) will be the first to refute the British’s opinion this coming weekend.
Earlier, Dmitry Bivol told how he was going to unpleasantly surprise Alvarez.
