Canelo Alvarez reveals goal for third Golovkin fight

The absolute champion of the super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) Mexican Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) does not want to be content with “just” a victory in the upcoming third fight against Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) , who currently owns the WBA and IBF titles in the division up to 72.6 kg.

According to Canelo, his goal is to send a 40-year-old opponent straight to retirement.

“Yes, that is my goal. This is my goal for this fight, – the Mexican does not hide. “No disrespect to Golovkin. He is a great fighter, one of the best middleweights in boxing history. But that’s what I’m preparing for – to end his great career.”

“I feel hungry and I always give 100% in training. This fight is no exception. I’m motivated and can’t wait to get in the ring,” Canelo added.

There is also an opinion that Canelo can burn out before the fight with Golovkin.

By the way, the judges and referee of the fight are already known.
