Canelo Alvarez: Promoter Hearn voiced a wish to continue his career

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes the best option for Mexican undisputed super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez to continue his career would be a third fight against Gennady Golovkin in September, and then, if successful, a rematch against WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.

A few days ago, Saul flew on points to Bivol, but desired an immediate rematch.

“I think the next move might be to go against Golovkin and then [снова] to Bivol,” said the promoter. (GGG vs. Canelo ended in a draw in September 2017, and Canelo was narrowly defeated a year later.)

But, Hearn continued, this is just his personal “how-it-would-be-better” opinion.

Roy Jones Confident Canelo Needs Third Golovkin Fight

“They are [в команде Канело] believe they can defeat Bivol. And since they believe they can, there is a very good chance that this will be Saul’s next fight, ”Edward said.

Matchroom Boxing’s president admitted that they would probably have announced Canelo’s third fight against Golovkin right in the ring after last weekend’s bout if Saul had beaten Bivol.

But he lost. Like this. “Iron” Mike Tyson called Canelo’s mistake and gave advice on how to win a rematch.
