The absolute champion of the super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) Mexican Canelo Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) is positive about the idea of going to the next fight in England, meeting there with the WBO mandatory challenger, the owner of the “interim” title of this organization by Briton John Ryder (31-5, 17 KOs).
At the same time, Alvarez stressed that his return to the ring, tentatively scheduled for early May 2023, will depend on the recovery of the injured hand.
“It would be interesting to fight him in London. It would be a very big event,” Canelo said. “But the truth is, I haven’t yet discussed who my next opponent will be. Right now I’m focused on recovery from arm surgery. Let’s see how I feel in January and what the doctors say.”
Earlier, Ryder told how he was going to beat Alvarez.
