Can Joshua replace Usyk against Fury? Tyson gave a definite answer

If the negotiations for the fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion between Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), the active stage of which is taking place these days in London (England), are unsuccessful, Fury is not going to go into the ring instead against compatriot and ex-champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

Earlier, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, spoke about this possibility.

However, Tyson made it clear that he was no longer interested in this option.

“I don’t even want to go back to it. This story is over. In general, no questions related to AJ are interesting. Just zero. This man is dead in my eyes,” Fury snapped. “There will be no business between us. Enough. Tried to do the fight from 2017 to 2022. So it won’t happen.”

Let’s remind, last (?) attempt to agree boxers have undertaken in the autumn of last year. However, in the end, Fury entered the ring for the third time on December 3 against Derek Chisora, and Joshua will return on April 1 in a fight with Jermain Franklin.

Meanwhile, Usyk’s promoter spoke about the only thing that could interfere with the Usyk-Fury fight.
