Britain’s Dubois targets winner of Usyk-Joshua rematch

Next night in New York, British heavyweight Daniel Dubois (17-1, 16 KOs) will compete for a secondary WBA World title in a duel against American Trevor Bryan (22-0, 15 KOs).

Dubois claims that the loss to compatriot Joe Joyce at the end of 2020 taught him a lot and changed him for the better, and also expects that the victory and winning the title will allow him to fight for the WBA Super belt, the current owner of which is Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

“The preparation went well, I added some things and worked hard as always,” says the Briton. – True, I had to work in the hall for several months, not knowing anything about the next entry into the ring, and this expectation was frustrating. But now that’s all right, and I’m looking forward to another performance in front of the American public.”

“I learned a lot from the fight with Joe (Joyce). I’ve learned my lessons and now I’m a different person. And you guys will be witnesses to this,” Dubois assured. “This fight will put me in a good position to face the winner of the Usyk-Joshua rematch. I hope AJ wins. I would be happy to fight the winner in the future, it would be a great fight. But first you need to get past Trevor.”

Dubois promises to destroy Brian: “I will trample on him with controlled aggression”
