Wembley Arena, London, UK. Silver medalist of the Olympic Games-2020, local welterweight prospect (up to 66.7 kg) Pat McCormack (3-0, 2 KOs) terribly disappointed in the fight against
Christiane Andino (16-6-2, 2 KOs) from Argentina.
It was very difficult for the prospect to show himself in all his glory, because the opponent did not enter the ring to fight – from the starting gong he began to play around the perimeter of the ring, and in case of danger he rushed to clinch and tie the opponent’s hands.
McCormack dropped his opponent twice in the opening rounds, but not according to the rules – with wrestling techniques. In the last seconds of the 2nd three-minute period, he shook his opponent, pinned him in the corner, but did not have time to finish it off – a gong sounded.
By the 3rd round, the only desire was to never see Andino in the ring again. The referee apparently had the same thoughts. He stopped the fight and with gestures reminded the Argentine that he should box, not hug. He agreed.
McCormack, by the way, also disappointed. A senseless bet on one accurate blow and attempts to counter an opponent who is happy with the unhurried pace and low density of the battle. The favorite often cut through the air with his fists, and the underdog even began to clow around and play for the camera. Referee score: 60-54.
McCormack PTS 6.
As part of the show, the local owner of the WBC International belt in super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg)
Sandy Ryan (4-1, 2 KOs) beat the former world champion in two divisions from Argentina
Anahi Sanchez (21-5, 13 KOs).
Ryan set the incredible pace and density of the fight. Sanchez answered well from a distance, but it was impossible to keep her opponent. In the second half of the fight, the Argentine increasingly survived in clinches or hiding behind a block near the ropes. She reached the gong, but flew in without a chance: 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92.

The representative of Britain at the 2020 Olympic heavyweight prospect (up to 90.7 kg) Chivon Clark (4-0, 4 KOs) knocked out the Argentine gatekeeper
Jose Ulrich (17-6, 6 KOs).
In the opening round, the favorite set a solid pace, dropped Ulrich with a jab. The underdog was forced to switch to survival mode, hiding in the clinch.
In the 2nd three-minute period, Clark hit twice in a row with uppercuts, saw that the opponent was shocked and did not finish. The referee stopped the fight – both did well.
