Brandon Moreno challenges Henry Cejudo

Reigning UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno is ready to move up to bantamweight to take on Henry Cejudo, who lost a five-round split decision to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 in Newark, resuming his career after a three-year hiatus.

“Henry, don’t resign!” the Mexican wrote on the social network. “Please wait for me – I will win my fight in July, and then we can finish our business. The main event in Mexico City – I can move up to bantamweight, fuck the belts, just you and me in the octagon!

On July 8 at UFC 290 in Las Vegas, Brandon Moreno will defend his title against second-place Brazilian Alejandre Pantoji.

Brandon Moreno and Henry Cejudo have not previously met in the octagon, and the Triple Champion last fought at flyweight in January 2019, when he successfully defended the championship belt in a confrontation with TJ Dillashaw.
