Boxing by WWE rules, Gamboa faces jail time, how many PPVs have Paul and Fury sold

An interesting concept in the style of WWE offers a promotion Misfits Boxing. Already on March 4 in Telford (UK) will be held MF & DAZN event: X Series 005. As part of the show, for the first time, fans will be offered a team fight according to the rules of boxing.

The rules are about the same as in wrestling. In the main event of the show, two teams fight, each with 2 participants. Fighters can change during the fight. To do this, the combatant must raise his hand.

But it is forbidden to do this at the time of the fight – you can change only if there is a pause in the battle. The fight will end at the moment when one of the fighters is knocked out – not he, but his team will lose.

In the first match of the new format will meet Los Pineda Coladas (Luis Pineda and B Dave) And The Fantastic 2 (Austin Sprinz and Stromedy).

The legendary Cuban veteran boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa was released from custody on bail – he had been behind bars since December 31, as he knocked down a man to death in Cuba.

The further fate of the Olympic champion will be decided in the courtroom. The date of the hearing is not yet known.

Boxing YouTuber from the USA Jake Paul (6-1, 4 KOs) claims that more than 500 thousand pay-per-view broadcasts (PPV) of his fight with Tommy Fury (9-0, 4 KOs) have been sold in total – he lost to the British over the weekend in Saudi Arabia.

Reviewer Chris Mannix says it’s not yet realistic to estimate the profitability of the fight, as the broadcast price was very different – 50 USD for the US and 20 USD for the UK, “but if these numbers are confirmed, then it’s just an amazing success.”

Paul stated immediately after the fight that “PPV is off the charts”. And his brother believes that Fury was not impressed, because if you are a real boxer, then in theory you “should kill a YouTuber.” Columnist Teddy Atlas requires fans to “pay tribute” to the showman.
