Legendary American promoter Bob Arum at the request of an Australian editor
Fightnews shared his opinion about the Australian super welterweight (up to 69.9 kg), now the official contender for the WBO world title Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs).
In a conversation, the 90-year-old functionary remembered the famous father of Tim, the ex-absolute champion of the super lightweight division Konstantin Tszyu.
“He (Tim) is a good fighter. He has a good pedigree,” Arum noted. “His father was a hell of a fighter who fought for us many times in the States. Tim will compete with anyone with whom he enters the ring. He goes well – he is well led. He has great potential.”
At the end of May, Tim was officially approved as a contender for the absolute champion from the United States, Jermell Charlo. On this occasion, Tszyu warned a potential rival.
