Bivol vs. Ramirez – November 5

WBA world light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) and Mexican mandatory challenger Gilberto “Surdo” Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs) have agreed to fight. This was reported ESPN.

The fight is scheduled for November 5 in the United Arab Emirates.

The rights to his organization were supposed to go under the hammer this afternoon at the time of the zone where the headquarters of the WBA is located, but in the end the parties did not bring it to this, and agreed without promotional bidding.

The most difficult is Usyk, and the lightest is Joshua, he is a “glass”: Ramirez’s opinion

Bivol, 31, retained his 79.4kg title after a decision win over Saul Alvarez in May.

His peer Ramirez is a former WBC super middleweight titleholder who, however, has not yet met an opponent of this level, although he has a good resume. In 2022, he had only one fight, also knocking out Dominique Bösel in the 4th round in May.

Earlier, the WBA had rejected Bivol’s request to postpone his mandatory defense: he wanted instead to hold a voluntary one against Britain’s Joshua Buatsi.
