Bivol vs. Ramirez fight officially announced: boxers’ statements

Today, the fight between the WBA world light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg) Russian Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) and the mandatory contender from Mexico, ex-champion in the category below Gilberto Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs).

As we reported earlier, the fight will take place on November 5, and the venue will be Abu Dhabi (UAE). The event will be broadcast by the DAZN streaming service.

“The fight against Rammirez was brewing and a lot was said,” Bivol said. “Now we have a chance to take care of everything with our direct actions in the ring, and not with words spoken outside of it.”

“I am happy that this fight will finally take place, despite all the obstacles,” says Ramirez. — It took a long time, and I’m looking forward to a great evening on November 5th. I would fight Bivol anywhere, including Mars, but I know we will put on a great show in Abu Dhabi.”
