Beterbiev or Bivol? Jake Paul has decided on the desired opponent

Boxing American YouTuber Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) was reminded of plans to conquer the light heavyweight category.

The showman was invited to
DAZN streaming
and asked which of the current champions of the division he would choose as his opponents even now – Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs / WBA) or Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs / WBC, IBF, WBO).

“I would rather fight Beterbiev,” says the American.

In the near future, both are busy: Paul will enter the ring for the first time in his career against a professional boxer – in August he will fight with compatriot heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr., the son of ex-world champion Hasim Rahman. And Beterbiev plans to go to Britain in the fall to fight local WBO mandatory challenger Anthony Yard.

Also during the interview, Paul admitted that he dreams of intercepting UFC star Irishman Conor McGregor from American legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. – they are rumored to be planning a rematch. In 2017 in Las Vegas (USA), Mayweather won ahead of schedule.

“My fight against Conor is so much more than this rematch. What’s the point of a rematch? We’ve already seen everything. And the fight between me and Conor would be much more competitive. Well, the promotion would be brighter – many times more trash talk and throwing shit on the fan. That is a lot more spectacle. This is the fight that the fans would definitely like to see, ”the YouTuber is sure.

It is interesting that the fight between Paul and Rahman might not have taken place – too experienced, they decided in the commission, but they managed to convince them. The legendary British ex-champion does not mind fighting Paul: “I would beat him, take the money and go home.” Another popular British fighter in the past paid tribute to the YouTuber: the fight with Rahman is much more difficult than with Tommy Fury.
