Beterbiev is injured. Fight with Yard is postponed to the beginning of next year

It seems that the WBC / IBF / WBO light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg) Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs) from Canada in 2022 will be limited to just one performance.

As became known
boxing sceneBeterbiev suffered an injury that will prevent him from making a mandatory defense against WBO contender Anthony Yarde (22-2, 21 KOs) at the end of October, as previously planned.

Instead, Yard will hold an interim fight in November, while the meeting with Beterbiev is tentatively rescheduled for early 2023.

Recall that in June, Arthur won a unification fight against American Joe Smith, stopping him in two rounds.

Yard, who almost took the WBO title from Sergey Kovalev in August 2019, has not entered the ring at all this year.
