Berinchyk sparring with the world champion in preparation for the fight with Mendy. Coach – about the preparation of Denis

34-year-old WBO International lightweight title holder (up to 61.2 kg) 34-year-old Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk (16-0, 9 KOs) is systematically completing preparations for the first fight in 2022 – on December 3 in London (England) he will meet with EBU European Champion 37-year-old Frenchman Ivan Mendy (47-5-1, 22 KOs).

The fight will take place as part of the boxing evening, the main event of which will be the third fight of the WBC world heavyweight champion Briton Tyson Fury against compatriot Derek Chisora.

About how the preparation of Berinchyk is going on, in a conversation with
LuckyPunch said his coach Yegor Golub.

“The training as a whole is going well, thank God, no injuries. We train according to the schedule, says Golub. – We are in Montenegro, where the weather conditions are different from ours, the first three weeks were very warm. Now the weather is changing – rains, thunderstorms. But we have already done all the main work. We can say that we have reached the finish line in the training process.”

“Among our sparring partners are professional boxers and top athletes from the Ukrainian Olympic team,” continues the coach. – One of them is the world champion (amateur) Yuri Zakhareev. We selected fighters similar in anthropometry, who repeat the movements of our opponent. Sometimes even I have to spar with Denis.”

“The opponent is experienced, he has a lot of fights behind him, so we tune in to all 12 rounds,” said Golub. – Of course, if there is an opportunity to end the fight earlier, we will do it. Our goal is to bring a new title to Ukraine – the EBU European Champion, and move on to the world title.”
