Benn beats Eubank confidently – Eddie Hearn prediction

British promoter Eddie Hearn made a prediction for the upcoming fight of his ward Conor Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) against compatriot Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs), which will take place on October 8 in London (England).

Recall that the 12-round fight will be held in the contractual weight limit up to 71.2 kg. Thus, Eubank will have to go down from the middle division (up to 72.6 kg), and Benn, on the contrary, will rise from the welterweight division (up to 66.7 kg).

“I see Conor Benn beating Chris Eubank with a mix of boxing and fighting,” Hearn says. “I think he needs to be very smart, very elusive and fast. At the same time, we know that he will stay put and trade blows. From this Conor to drive away is simply unrealistic. But he shouldn’t be into that kind of thing because it’s dangerous, and Eubank is probably the tougher puncher.”

“Eubank also has an incredibly strong chin, but I’m sure this fight will have incredible intensity. And I believe that Benn can stop Chris towards the end of the fight, although I’m more inclined towards his victory on points. But I am sure of one thing for sure – Benn will defeat him confidently, ”concluded the promoter.

On the eve of Chris’s father, ex-world champion Eubank Sr. called on fans to boycott the fight because of fear for the health of his son. Hearn explained his father’s motives.
