Former world champion and boxing commentator Tony Bellew believes that only one fighter in the world is able to stop his compatriot, WBC belt holder British heavyweight Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).
On April 29, the absolute champion of the division will be determined – Fury will fight with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), who owns the rest of the top heavyweight titles.
Opinion Bellew: I always thought Fury would be too big for Usyk. But the closer to the fight, the more I lean in favor of the Ukrainian. I think he’s the only one who can beat Tyson. Note that Fury drastically changed his style when he moved to trainer Sugar Hill. Now he is an aggressive and punching counter-puncher. His only problem due to anthropometry is that during the fight he will constantly lag behind Usyk by one step. After all, Alexander just has incredible footwork. Not just incredible, but the best in the whole world.”
“I know that Fury will be a favorite with fans and bookies. I understand it. But believe that if someone can beat him, it will be Oleksandr Usyk, ”Bellew stands on his own.
In 2018, Tony tried to take all the cruiserweight titles from Alexander, but lost by a heavy knockout. Since then, he has not entered the ring. And for Usyk, this was the last fight in the heavyweight division.
Who do you think will win Fury vs Usyk? Arreola has already chosen a favorite: “Some things cannot be learned,” and the near-top British heavyweight explained why Tyson is not a favorite.
