Bazinyan remained with titles after the fight with Coceres: results

Montreal Casino, Montreal, Canada. In the main event of the show, a native of Armenia is a fighter of the second middle weight (up to 76.2 kg) Eric Bazinyan (28-0, 21 KOs) defended the NABF and NABA North American champion title against the Argentine ex-challenger Marcelo Coceres (30-4-1, 16 KOs).

The fight did not live up to the expectations of the fans, it turned out to be boring and stereotyped. Bazinyan confidently led the fight to victory, and Coceres was marked by timid attempts to turn the tide of the meeting in the second half of the fight. The underdog did well in the 7th and 9th rounds, but nothing more.

The score of the judges: 100-90 and twice 98-92 in favor of the favorite.

Bazinyan UD 10.

As part of the show, the vacant NABF middleweight title (up to 72.6 kg) of North America was contested. Local middle peasant Stephen Butler (30-3-1, 25 KOs) confidently passed a veteran compatriot
Brandon Brewer (25-2-2, 11 KOs).

The age-old underdog clearly relied on the last rounds, since Butler is known for his inability to distribute forces over the entire distance. In the second half of the fight, Brewer tried to turn on to the fullest, but it turned out that without superiority in firepower, his idea was doomed to failure – the favorite confidently brought the fight to a crushing victory and was close to ahead of schedule in the decisive round.

Judges score: 100-89, 100-90 and 99-91.

Butler UD 10.
