David Jameson (9-2, 6 KOs) competed for the vacant title of champion of Britain according to the BBC. The expected victory was celebrated by Laval, a former sparring partner of Alexander Usik.
The fighters amused the fans with the brightest score. Laval traditionally relied on power boxing at close range, but he did not have any tangible advantage over his opponent. And even more – the underdog was the soloist! He pinched the opponent at the ropes, forced him to settle for local counterattacking sorties. Jamison threw punches in series, and Laval responded with more powerful, but single shots.
To the dismay of the assembled boxing fans, the fight had to be stopped after the 8th round. The referee refused to release Jamison for the 9th three-minute period, as he had a serious injury – a broken jaw.

Azim ended the fight in the 2nd round with an overhand left hook counter, an amazingly executed blow. The underdog fell onto the canvas face forward.

And here is the fight of the techie-super-middleweight prospect (up to 76.2 kg) of the Briton Lerrone Richards (16-0, 3 KOs) against a middle-class compatriot
Zach Celli (12-1-1, 6 KOs) was canceled shortly before the start of the show.
Dressed as a bee (no, not a joke), Richards fell in a hotel room and hit his head – a concussion. Usually in such cases, weight loss problems are suspected. In the “man-bee” team, this version is denied.
They have no explanation for why the fighter suddenly became ill. Today Richards will be sent for examination. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the prospect’s health.
