Arum on Bivol-Ramirez fight, mentioned Beterbiev and Canelo

Promoter Bob Arum (Top Rank) believes that the Mexican Gilberto Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs) has a solid chance of taking the WBA Super light heavyweight belt from the Russian Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) playing for Kyrgyzstan. The fight will take place on November 5 in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

Arum is familiar with Ramirez firsthand – he previously played for his company. By
opinion boss Top Rank, “Don’t write off Gilberto. He has good chances against Bivol. We worked with him for a very long time. So I know this guy is not just a good fighter. This is a real plowman, a real pro. I really think his chances are very decent.”

Just in case, Arum made it clear that “Bivol proved his level in the ring. No matter who beats Canelo Alvarez. And he did it with a solid backlog. What do I think of Alvarez? A very pleasant young man. But I’ve never done business with him before. So I really don’t know what his plans are. But without a doubt, he is one of the best fighters of our time.”

Arum dreams of bringing the winner of the fight Bivol vs. Ramirez with his fighter, the unified division champion playing for Canada, Russian Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs): “Regardless of who wins this fight … And if Artur successfully holds defense against Anthony Yarde … In general, I plan to offer Arthur this fight.

Then the promoter again began to prove that no Beterbiev is Russian: “Yes, he was born in Chechnya, which is part of Russia. But he has been living and working in Canada for more than 10 years. That is, now he is a citizen of Canada as much as possible.

Is it really possible to beat Beterbiev at all? Cool ex-champion knows how to do it: I’ll tell you how to box with him. In the meantime, it became known that the knockout champion would soon receive another mandatory contender – the IBF ordered an eliminator.
