Arrest warrant issued for Nate Diaz

The New Orleans Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for former UFC fighter Nate Diaz on suspicion of second-degree battery.

This was announced in an interview with MMA Junkie by the press secretary of the police department, Karen Brudy.

“About 2:10 a.m. on April 22, the police received a report of a major skirmish on Bourbon Street,” Brudy explained. “The arrived officers managed to disperse the crowd. An unconscious white man was found at the scene. After a while he came to his senses. The officers noticed that he was bleeding from the back of his head and called an ambulance.”

Over the weekend, a video went viral on the network in which Nate Diaz performs a guillotine choke on a certain Rodney Petersen, and after the man loses consciousness, he throws him to the pavement. Later, Petersen, who became famous on social networks due to his resemblance to the famous blogger Logan Paul, said that Diaz attacked him for no reason, probably confusing him with a popular YouTuber. Judging by the video, Petersen really did not intend to fight Diaz, and stood in front of him with his hands up.

At the moment, Nate Diaz is not in custody, but if found guilty, under the laws of the state of Louisiana, he faces up to eight years in prison.

Recall that on August 5 in Dallas, 38-year-old Nate Diaz should have a boxing match with Logan Paul’s brother, Jake Paul.
