Arnold Allen made a statement after the defeat

After failing to win a title shot against Max Holloway, British featherweight Arnold Allen has made it clear that he is not going to make excuses for his loss that ended a ten-win UFC streak.

“It was an honor for me to share a cage with a legend like Max Holloway,” the Briton wrote on the social network, posting a joint photo with the American. “I just wasn’t good enough tonight. Thank you all for your support”

The featherweight bout between Max Holloway and Arnold Allen, who headlined UFC on ESPN 44 in Kansas City over the weekend, went all the way to win the former UFC champion via unanimous decision, 48-47 and 49-46 twice.
