It is not yet known whether Tsarukyan will remain on the card of the event, or will leave him after an injured opponent.
“Death, taxes and no one wants to fight Arman on two weeks notice is something that hasn’t changed in my life at the moment,” Daniel Rubinstein, the Russian fighter’s manager, wrote on the social network.
Both fighters in previous fights returned their careers to a successful track – Tsarukyan, after a controversial defeat from Mateusz Gamrot, won by unanimous decision against his compatriot Damir Ismagulov, and Moikano closed the defeat from Rafael dos Anjos with an early victory over Brad Riddell.
Currently, Arman Tsarukyan and Renato Moicano are eighth and thirteenth in the UFC lightweight rankings, respectively.
