The matchmakers of the organization could not find a new opponent for the Russian on a short notice, as a result of which the bantamweight bout between Yadong Song and Ricky Simon was announced as the new main event of the show, the confrontation of which had the status of a co-main event.
There is no information yet about whether the fight between Tsarukyan and Moikano will be postponed to another date, or whether the fighters will find new opponents.
25-year-old Yadong Song ended a three-fight streak in his previous fight, as the referee, on the recommendation of a doctor, did not release him for the fifth round against Corey Sandhagen, and 30-year-old Ricky Simon won five fights in a row, in the last of which he finished by choke with Jack’s hand triangle Shora.
Yadong Song and Ricky Simone are currently ranked eighth and tenth in the UFC bantamweight division, respectively.
