Apset! Resendiz has timed Hurd in a chic mahacha – video

Toyota Arena, Ontario, California, USA. In the co-main event of the show, former unified world champion American Jarrett Hurd (24-3, 16 KOs) resumed his career. In the middleweight limit (up to 72.6 kg), he flew ahead of schedule to the Mexican Jose Armando Resendis (14-1, 10 KOs).

Hurd started the fight passively. He gave the initiative to the underdog, backed up, tried to defend himself with shoulder rolls. In the 2nd round, the fighters staged a mahach at close range. Resendis took his due due to combinational work, speed, angles, performance and maneuverability. And Hurd answered him with power.

At times, both were dirty: Resendis butted his head, Hurd struck below the belt. The fight became more and more uncompromising. It was very difficult for the American to keep up such a pace, but he intercepted the attacks of the aggressor well. The Mexican landed more often, but Heard’s punches were much heavier.

Round 7 was just incredible. Hurd tried to work as the first number, pressed Resendis well, did a great job on the body, but shortly before the gong he was shocked and cycled a little. The ex-champion picked up even more in the next three minutes. He clearly has less strength left.

Hurd stepped up in the 9th three-minute period. He went all out and leveled the course of the battle. But it is possible that the Mexican is ahead on the cards of the judges. Great fight.
