Former contender for the world light heavyweight title (up to 79.4 kg), Briton Anthony Yarde (22-2, 21 KOs) confirms that he will become the next opponent of the unified WBC / WBO / IBF champion from Canada Artur Beterbiev (18 -0, 18 KOs).
According to Yard, he has already been informed that the promoters have agreed to hold the fight in London (England). Estimated date is October 22.
Paying tribute to the strength of the opponent, Anthony believes that he will also have something to surprise the favorite.
“I feel that my advantage over him will be speed. From what I saw (in the Beterbiev-Smith fight), I feel like I’m much faster than him. However, he has much more experience, –
noted British. – Beterbiev is smart, he surprised me in the fight with Smith. It looked like a building demolition ball, but it worked much more calculated.”
Meanwhile, Bob Arum claimed that Beterbiev could be the best light heavyweight in boxing history.
