Anthony Joshua: ‘I can bring Fury back from retirement’

British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will not retire and will certainly resume his career. Especially if his compatriot Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) takes revenge on Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) on Saturday and regains all the other prestigious belts of the division – according to WBA, WBO and IBF.

Joshua himself expressed confidence in this, suggesting that Tyson misses boxing.

“Yes, I can bring Fury back from retirement, 100 percent,” Anthony said with genuine confidence the day before. I think he wants to come back. He simply has nothing else to do. I guess he didn’t think about his life after boxing. I’m sure he’s bored. You can have a dog, a Ferrari, some hobbies. But now you have nothing much to do but walk the dog. So yes, I think he will end his retirement soon and come back.”

Recall that Fury once again said goodbye to the ring on August 12, the day of his 34th birthday. However, the WBC gave him until August 26 to confirm the decision in writing.

So did Fury leave or didn’t he? – that’s what promoter Joshua thinks about it.
