Andy Ruiz wants a third fight with Joshua: “We have unfinished business”

Former world heavyweight champion Mexican Andy Ruiz Jr. (34-2, 22 KOs) is not averse to having a third fight against British ex-champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

Recall that in June 2019, Ruiz sensationally stopped Joshua in the 7th round, taking away his WBA, IBF and WBO titles. The revenge, which took place in December of the same year, ended with Anthony’s victory on points.

“Before we both retire, I would love to meet Joshua one more time. There should be a trilogy, especially in the heavyweight division. We have unfinished business with him,” Ruiz said.

It is worth noting that in a matter of hours Andy will enter the ring against the Cuban veteran Luis Ortiz. Whereas Joshua boxed on August 20, losing on points to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time.

“The rematch with Usyk did not go according to his scenario,” the Mexican states, “he could not return the titles and after that he let off steam a bit. Well, things don’t just happen. But he will return. And I’ll be here and I’ll be glad to fight him again.”

And earlier, Ruiz said this: I want Eddie Reynoso to prepare me for Usyk.
