Moody Theatre, Austin, Texas, USA. In the main bout of the evening, American heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) Hasim Rahman Jr. (12-2, 6 KOs), the son of ex-world champion Hasim Rahman, lost to a late replacement – former UFC fighter compatriot Greg Hardy (2-0, 1 KO).
Rahman circled around a slow opponent, spiking jabs, twos and left straights, taking advantage of a huge advantage in speed. Hardy had his lucky moment – pinned his opponent against the ropes. But he defended himself behind the block, and then also sketched out the ex-UFC fighter, almost dropped him.
In the 2nd round, the big man again squeezed the son of the ex-champion against the ropes, simply beat him. The ropes saved Rahman from falling and … a cap that fell out of his mouth – the referee spread the fighters in the corners. Hardy still managed to score a knockdown before the gong, but Hasim got to his feet and continued the fight.

For some reason, Rahman changed stances during the fight, although the right-handed man looked extremely indistinct. In the 3rd round, the referee again had to count the knockdown in favor of Hardy – Hasim, after a missed blow, “sat down” on the ropes.
In the 4th round, Hardy continued to beat the boxer – it turned out to constantly counter with the right direct / cross. Rahman was passive, clearly fearful of the big man’s firepower.
End of the fight. 3-1 rounds and knockdown. The winner is clear.
Judges score: unanimous 39-36 in favor of ex-UFC fighter.
Hardy UD 4.
