Aljamain Sterling spoke about fans from Dagestan and Chechnya

The current UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, spoke out to fans from the Caucasus, who did not like his analysis of the fight between Islam Makhachev and Alex Volkanovski, which ended in a victory for the Russian by unanimous decision.

“One of the things that definitely annoys me is the fans from the Caucasus regions, mostly fans of Dagestan and Chechen fighters,” the American said in a video posted on his YouTube channel. “I like them as people, but as fans they are terrible, because as soon as you give credit to their fighter’s opponent, point out his strengths, they write you down as a hater. How can I be a hater if I’m just analyzing and deconstructing the fight?

Analyzing the superfight between Makhachev and Volkanovski, Sterling spoke critically about the skills of the Russian, and also stated that he could finish the Australian ahead of schedule.

Recall that in the next fight, Aljamain Sterling plans to defend his title against former dual UFC champion Henry Cejudo, who is resuming his career after a three-year break.
