Aljamain Sterling out of bout with Henry Cejudo

The bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo, which was rumored to take place on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, has been postponed indefinitely due to an injury to the reigning division champion.

Sterling announced this in another video posted on his YouTube channel.

“The question is if I can compete with a torn bicep again,” said the UFC champion. “To go through another training camp with a torn bicep, preparing for a fight with a guy who is strong in wrestling and will fight … I will need a bicep to perform one hundred percent. And I don’t take Henry Cejudo lightly. Is it possible for me to fight in March? I do not think so”

Both fighters had previously confirmed that the bout was set up, however, Cejudo revealed that Sterling had not yet signed a contract for the fight, which is scheduled for March. As for the representatives of the UFC, they did not make any official statements on this matter.
