Aljamain Sterling gave a prediction for his fight with Kelvin Kattar

Former UFC flyweight champion Aljamain Sterling, who is set to make his debut in the organization’s featherweight division in three months, is not going to take his fight with Kelvin Kattar to a judges’ decision.

“I feel like it’s going to be a first- or second-round submission finish,” MMAnews quoted the American as saying. “But to be honest, I’m not going to go after the knockdown from the start. I want to get my feet wet a little bit like Figueredo did. Feel the power, feel the fight back, and act from that.”

“I want to feel the fight, and I’m not going to rush it. I’m going to fight like I normally do – I’m going to wait for my moment and look for options instead of forcing things. I’ve rested enough to prevent burnout and get back into competition mode. I’ve got a good opportunity to reboot my career and I’m ready to do it”

As a reminder, the featherweight bout between Aljamain Sterling and Kelvin Kattar will be part of the UFC 300 anniversary event, which takes place April 13 in Las Vegas.
