Standing face-to-face with the reigning champion, the challenger silently listened to his opponent’s threats before taking the microphone and addressing the crowd in attendance, who were clearly on his side.
“Boston, are you ready to watch me knock this dude out?”, O’Malley asked to the enthusiastic roar of the crowd and departed the stage.
When it was Sterling’s turn to speak, fans tried to drown him out with a disgruntled rumble.
“Tomorrow night I’m going to make history,” the UFC champion said. “I’m going to become a four-time UFC champion, add to my resume, and add another ruby to my belt. The one favor I want you to do me tomorrow is to say goodbye to Sean O’Malley. He’s going to face a real monster, the Funk Master is already coming for him! Let’s go!”
As a reminder, a featherweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley in less than 24 hours will headline another numbered event for the World’s Strongest League, which will take place at the TD Garden Arena in Boston.
