Alexander Shlemenko’s likely opponent has been named

Reigning Naiza FC and Ural FC middleweight champion, Dauren Ermekov, is likely to be the next opponent for former Bellator titleholder, Alexander Shlemenko.

Informed sources close to the situation have reported the development of a bout that could headline the Ural FC tournament in Omsk in October.

Dauren Ermekov extended his winning streak to four fights in June, winning a unanimous decision over Ruslan Shamilov at the joint Ural FC and Naiza FC tournament. His last defeat came in September 2020, when he lost by TKO in the third round to Vladimir Mineyev at the Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov Memorial Tournament.

Alexander Shlemenko put his career back on track in July, finishing former UFC fighter Alex Oliveira by guillotine choke as early as the first round at SFC 8 in Omsk. Storm closed out his loss to Magomed Ismailov, to whom he lost by unanimous decision at RCC 13 in Ekaterinburg last December.
