Alexander Emelianenko visited the grave of Prophet Muhammad

Popular Russian fighter Alexander Emelianenko arrived in Medina, where he visited the Al-Masjid al-Nabawi mosque, which is the second most important shrine in Islam and the burial place of the Prophet Muhammad.

The heavyweight posted the corresponding video on social media.

“Next to the Prophet’s Mosque is the Blessed Masjid Nabawi,” Emelianenko wrote in a comment, posting a meaningful emoji with open palms raised in prayer.

Alexander Emelianenko spent the last six months in the rehabilitation center “Iman” in Ingushetia, where he was treated for alcohol addiction. Earlier in the network there were rumors that the 42-year-old fighter converted to Islam, however, Emelianenko did not confirm this information.

The last fight Alexander Emelianenko held in May last year on the regular show “Fight Club REN TV”, finishing with a kimura in the second round of blogger Evgeny Ershov. At the same time, the heavyweight was in poor physical shape, could barely move, and in the first round, in fact, lost the fight by technical knockout, however, the referee allowed him to recover and continue the meeting.

In a recent interview, Emelianenko’s manager, Nikita Burchak, said that his ward already has three fights scheduled this year.
