Alex Volkanovski topped the ranking of the best UFC fighters

Reigning UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, who successfully unified the titles against Yair Rodriguez over the weekend, topped the rankings of the organization’s best fighters regardless of weight category.

The updated rating is published on the official website of the strongest league in the world.

Volkanovski regained his lead in the P4P UFC rankings four months after he was forced to lose the top spot to Jon Jones, who won the vacant UFC heavyweight championship belt. Formally, at the moment, the American shares the lead with the Australian, retaining the first position, but in fact the heavyweight has moved to second place in the list of the organization’s best fighters.

The current UFC lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, who defeated Volkanovski in the previous fight, closes the top three in the P4P UFC ranking. Following the Russian are Leon Edwards and Israel Adesanya, who hold the UFC welterweight and middleweight titles, respectively.

Recall that the unification fight between Alex Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez, who headed the UFC 290 tournament in Las Vegas, ended with the victory of the Australian by technical knockout in the third round.
