Alex Volkanovski sues Max Holloway

Reigning UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is not thrilled that his former opponent, Max Holloway, knocked out British Arnold Allen, who was on a ten-win streak in the UFC, from the contenders race.

“The more opponents, the better – Arnold Allen was on a ten win streak and if he beat Max, everyone would shout his name,” the Australian said in an interview with The Mac Life. “Of course, I still have to go through Yair Rodriguez, and I don’t look behind him, but I always want to have some certainty ahead. I want to be active”

“After our last fight with Max, I told him, ‘Get out of my division! Stop beating my pretenders!’ and he did it again. You can imagine how I feel right now. I think, ‘Why does this guy have to be in my fucking division!?’ Max looked great, but he lost to me three times, and in the fourth fight there is simply no point, so he is also in a difficult situation. Let’s see how things turn out”

Recall that the featherweight unification fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez will take place on July 8 at UFC 290 in Las Vegas.
