Alex Pereira claims superiority over Israel Adesanya

Former UFC middleweight champion, Alex Pereira, is not ready to put an end to the confrontation with the current holder of this title, Israel Adesanya.

“We are the best, but I am still the best. The numbers don’t lie. 3:1,” wrote the Brazilian fighter on the social network, posting a video with the endings of all previous matches.

In total, Pereira and Adesanya had four fights. The Brazilian twice defeated the Nigerian in kickboxing fights, and once sent him to a deaf knockout, and last November he took away the UFC championship belt from him, winning by technical knockout in the fifth round. Three weeks ago, Adesanya took a convincing revenge, knocking out a principled opponent in the second round and regaining the title.

After the fight, Alex Pereira announced the move to light heavyweight, and Israel Adesanya’s next opponent will be determined in the contender’s fight between Robert Whittaker and Dricus Du Plessis, who will meet on July 8 at UFC 290 in Las Vegas.
