American-Puerto Rican super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) Edgar Berlanga (20-0, 16 KOs) not only defeated age-old ex-challenger Roamer Angulo (27-3, 23 KOs) over the weekend, but also tried to bite him on the shoulder at 7 -th round.
Immediately after the fight, he joked about such an episode, but then it seems that he received a strong scolding from a manager or promoter. Soon in
Twitter the fighter apologized.
“I did badly and take full responsibility,” the puncher writes. “I will be more conscientious in the future. I want to apologize for my actions and for what I said yesterday about Mike Tyson being bitten. Once again, I apologize.”
Berlanga added that he was worried about the fact that he caused himself, his team, the promoter and “many others” inconvenience.
Oh, and more recently, Edgar was ranting that he could be the next Cotto or Trinidad. The ex-champion and analyst severely smashed Berlanga. He says he looks like a deer in the headlights.
