Francis Ngannou only recently found out about the Ukrainian
UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou predicts that Anthony Joshua will be able to take revenge on the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles Oleksandr Usyk.
“To be honest, I didn’t see Usyk approaching. I didn’t know where he was before he beat Joshua. I think a lot of us thought that Joshua was going to take care of him very quickly. Then I was quite shocked when I saw him. So it’s a very interesting fight, because now Usyk is gaining attention and respect, having proved in the previous fight that he is real.
Joshua is pretty good at comebacks. You can watch his fight with Andy Ruiz. When you pick a fighter you don’t really know and then he surprises you, you come back ready with all the ingredients to help you win the fight. So let Usyk be a very clean and very technical fighter, but in the rematch I will still choose Joshua,” Ngannou said.
The rematch between Joshua and Usyk should take place in the spring of 2022, but the parties have not yet agreed.
