Kevin Holland cleared the air on the fight against Michael Page

No. 12 ranked UFC welterweight Kevin Holland commented on the information that his next opponent will be British Michael Page, who is in the final stages of negotiations with the world’s strongest league.

“Everyone keeps asking me, ‘Yo, Kev, you fight?’ but I haven’t been offered any fights,” the American said in a video posted on social media. “I haven’t been offered any fights, but I’m too stupid, so they know in advance what I’m going to answer.”

The bout was spotted on the schedule wall in the office of UFC head honcho, Dana White, glimpsed in another edition of the FULL SEND podcast. Judging by the calendar, the Holland-Page fight is expected to be part of the UFC 297 tournament, which takes place on January 20 in Toronto.

UFC officials have not yet commented on this information or confirmed the signing of the former Bellator welterweight title challenger.

Michael Page, 36, had his last fight under his current contract with Bellator in March of this year, finishing Japanese Goichi Yamauchi by technical knockout at 26 seconds. With this, the Briton closed the defeat of Logan Storley, to whom he lost by split decision in the fight for the interim Bellator championship belt. In 2019, MVP made an unsuccessful attempt to take away the current title from Douglas Lima, losing to the Brazilian by knockout in the second round.

Kevin Holland, 31, was defeated in his last fight, losing a controversial split decision to Jack Della Maddalena this past September. Prior to that, the American had two early wins, knocking out Santiago Ponzinibbio and finishing Michael Chiesa by choke.
