According to Michael Page, his negotiations with the UFC are not yet finalized, but it looks like the Brit will make his octagon debut in less than two months.
Judging by the schedule wall in Dana White’s office, glimpsed in another episode of the FULL SEND podcast, the former Bellator welterweight title challenger will take part in UFC 297 on January 20 in Toronto, and his opponent will be American Kevin Holland.
Michael Page, 36, had his last fight under his current contract with Bellator in March of this year, finishing Japanese Goichi Yamauchi by technical knockout at 26 seconds. With this, the Briton closed the defeat of Logan Storley, to whom he lost by split decision in the fight for the interim Bellator championship belt. In 2019, MVP made an unsuccessful attempt to take away the current title from Douglas Lima, losing to the Brazilian by knockout in the second round.
Kevin Holland, 31, will return to the octagon after losing a controversial split decision to Jack Della Maddalena this September. Prior to that, the American had two early wins, knocking out Santiago Ponzinibbio and finishing Michael Chiesa by choke.
Recall that the main event of UFC 297 will be a middleweight title fight between American Sean Strickland and South African Dricus Du Plessis.
