Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who lost a controversial refereeing decision to Tyson Fury in a boxing match, has explained why he treated his opponent with no respect after sending him to a third-round knockdown.

The Cameroonian, who has a current contract with the PFL league in hand, also made it clear that he intends to stick around in professional boxing.
“The only thing that surprised me was that I didn’t win. I came to win but I left the ring without a win and it wasn’t what I was expecting. But it was my first fight and I learned a lot about the sport. I did ten rounds of clean boxing against the number one heavyweight in the world, and performed very well. Now, with this experience, I’ll go back to work and prepare for my next fight, because now I’m even more hungry”
Separately, the former UFC champion expressed his grievances with the judges who gave a split decision victory to the reigning WBC world boxing champion.
“The boxing world is crazy, but some judges need to be held accountable for their actions. Things like this break people’s careers.”
Earlier, Francis Ngannou’s trainer, Dewey Cooper, revealed that WBC president, Mauricio Sulaiman, has promised to place his charge in the top 10 of the heavyweight division rankings. Theoretically, this will open the way for the Cameroonian to fight with the absolute world champion in heavyweight boxing, which will be determined on December 23 in the match between Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik.
