No. 6 ranked UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamroth will officially underwrite the title rematch between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira in two weeks.
The fighter personally announced this in the program “Dzień dobry TVN” on Polish television.
Two weeks ago, 32-year-old Mateusz Gamroth won his second consecutive victory by TKO in the second round against Rafael Fisieff, who suffered a knee injury and was unable to continue the fight.
In March, the Pole put his career back on track after a unanimous decision loss to Benil Dariush, defeating Jalin Turner by split decision on judges’ scorecards.
As a reminder, the lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira will headline UFC 294, which takes place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi.
