The heavyweight bout between former Mexican world champion Andy Ruiz (34-2, 22 KOs) and former Cuban challenger Luis Ortiz (33-2, 28 KOs) has been given a new date.
As we reported earlier, the meeting was scheduled for August 13 and was to be held in Los Angeles (USA) for Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center).

After losing a title rematch with Anthony Joshua in December 2019, the 32-year-old Ruiz has only fought once so far, defeating Chris Arreola on points in May 2021. It was Andy’s first performance under top coach Eddie Reynoso.
43-year-old Ortiz, having again lost by knockout to Deontay Wilder in November 2019, a year later knocked out Alexander Flores in the starting segment, and in January of this year stopped Charles Martin with big problems (TKO 6).
