IBF, WBA and WBC welterweight world champion (up to 66.7 kg) Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, which caused an accident in Dallas, as a result of which he almost died .

Recall that Spence raced a Ferrari supercar along Riverfront Boulevard at night in October 2019, lost control and crashed the car, flying out from behind the wheel and landing quite successfully.

Spence admitted to drinking at several bars on the night of the car crash.

In his statement, he called himself lucky to get a second chance.

“As I recovered, I thought about how much I had to lose and how lucky I was to have a second chance at life. Do not drive while intoxicated, even after drinking alcohol. It’s not worth it,” Spence said.

Spence was sentenced to three days (!) in prison. He must pay $3,400 in legal fees.

On June 3, it was reported that Spence and Crawford had almost agreed to fight in October. One of the best coaches in the world, Salas, believes that Crawford has no chance against such a Spence.
