One of the brightest fighters of our time, Zabit Magomedsharipov, who officially announced his resignation two years ago, refused the proposal of the UFC management to resume his professional career, despite the fact that the Russian featherweight was guaranteed an immediate title chance.
“Yes, there was such an offer – I refused,” Magomedsharipov said in the next episode of the URF MEDIA podcast. “I won’t be back, most likely”
According to the Russian, his decision to leave professional sports was influenced by a combination of factors, among which he cannot single out the main one.

32-year-old Zabit Magomedsharipov last entered the octagon in November 2019, when he defeated Calvin Kattar by unanimous decision at the UFC in Moscow, but the Russian officially notified the organization of his retirement only in June 2021.
In the strongest league in the world, Magomedsharipov won six victories without suffering a single defeat, and reached the third line of the UFC featherweight ranking.
