You will laugh, but Broner is again without an opponent – the third one has already flown

The return to the ring of the former world champion in four categories, American Adrien Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs), is again in jeopardy.

Michael Williams Jr. (20-1, 13 KOs), a little-known boxer with an inflated record, will also not be Broner’s opponent in a duel scheduled for February 25 in Atlanta (USA). The day before, Williams’ father gave the reason:

“First news: Roy Jones Jr is no longer one of my son’s trainers. Second, it is with great regret that my son will not be fighting Broner on February 25th due to an unnecessary injury at training camp.”

It became known to the media that the “unnecessary injury” was a double fracture of the jaw. It seems that with Jones they stopped working precisely because of this.

They say that for Adrian they are urgently trying to find a new opponent. But the chances are high that the fight and the entire evening of boxing will be cancelled.

Recall that initially Broner was supposed to return to the ring in a duel against Ukrainian Ivan Redkach on February 18 in Atlanta (USA). Shortly after the announcement, the fight was moved a week later, but then it turned out that Redkach would not be able to enter the ring due to disagreements with the promoter.

A replacement was found in the person of 39-year-old American veteran Henry Lundy. But instead of the fight, he received a disqualification from the California State Athletic Commission, because he signed up to fight Browner, having a contract in his hands for the fight on February 4 against Ernesto Mercado.

Broner hasn’t performed since February 2021, and two months ago he shone with a huge belly. But, contrary to forecasts, he managed to bring himself into shape:
