Yevloyev reacted to Topuria’s words to Khabib

No. 5 ranked UFC welterweight Movsar Yevloyev reacted to a statement by current division champion Elijah Topuria, who called a hypothetical confrontation with Khabib Nurmagomedov a dream fight, expressing confidence that he could defeat the undefeated Russian.

“Conor, Islam, Mayweather, Muhammad Ali, Messi… What else do you want to fight instead of fighting the only undefeated fighter in your division?” the Russian fighter wrote, referring to the champion.

On Feb. 17 at UFC 298 in Anaheim, Elijah Topuria knocked out Alexander Volkanovski in the second round, taking the featherweight title from the Australian. After the fight, the Spanish-Georgian fighter challenged Conor McGregor and then announced that he plans to become a double champion, promising to take the UFC lightweight title from Islam Makhachev.

Undefeated Movsar Yevloyev earned his eighth UFC victory this January, winning a unanimous decision over Britain’s Arnold Allen. The Russian announced the day before that he was ready to share the octagon with Brian Ortega to determine the number one contender in the featherweight division.
