Yevloyev named the favorite in the fight between Makhachev and Tsarukyan

UFC featherweight division number five Movsar Yevloyev has predicted a potential fight between his compatriots Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan, which could take place as early as this summer if the latter manages to defeat Charles Oliveira in his next fight.

“Arman is not bad, in every way,” the Russian said in another edition of the podcast Hustle Show. “And in the standup he’s dialed in, we shouldn’t even talk about wrestling, he’s physically stronger. But I still think that Islam’s experience and his physical data – I think he will be physically stronger, because he is bigger – will be decisive. I know both Islam and Arman, with whom we often train, and I’m not saying that Arman has no chance. I’m saying that my favorite at this weight is Islam. Basically, no one is even close so far.”

The lightweight contender fight between Arman Tsarukian and Charles Oliveira will be part of the UFC 300 anniversary event, which takes place April 13 in Las Vegas.

Islam Makhachev made his last defense of his championship belt last October at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, knocking out Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.
